Privacy Policy

RemoteViewer PRO is operated by REEV Technologies Private Limited. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP) and (where applicable) the EU GDPR.
1. Information we collect
Account information
- For admins: Google account email + display name (received when you sign in).
- For tenants: license key + tenant PIN (you set the PIN).
Device + session metadata
- Machine GUID hash (for one-license-one-device binding).
- Session start/end timestamps, platform identifiers, IP region (for security telemetry).
- The 9-digit permanent device ID derived from your machine GUID.
What we DO NOT collect
- Session video, audio, or screen content — encrypted peer-to-peer; never reaches our servers.
- Files transferred — peer-to-peer over an encrypted direct channel.
- Clipboard content — peer-to-peer.
- Keystrokes typed during a session — peer-to-peer.
2. How we use it
We use account + metadata to:
- Authenticate you and authorise sessions you initiate.
- Enforce license limits (one device per license, expiry dates).
- Send service updates and security notices.
- Maintain audit logs (admin only) for compliance.
We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising trackers. We do not share data with third parties except as required to operate the service (managed cloud providers for authentication, database, and content delivery; a payment gateway for billing).
3. Where we store it
Account and metadata live in a managed cloud database (asia-southeast1 region by default). Release installers are served from a global content delivery network. You can request migration to an EU-located instance under your Enterprise contract.
4. How long we keep it
- Active account data: while your account is active.
- Session metadata: 12 months, then purged.
- Audit logs: 36 months (compliance requirement).
- Deleted accounts: removed within 30 days of deletion request, except where law requires longer retention.
5. Your rights
Under DPDP / GDPR you can request:
- Access — a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction — fix anything inaccurate.
- Deletion — purge your account and metadata.
- Portability — export your audit log + session history.
- Withdraw consent — cancel and stop processing.

6. Cookies & storage
We use localStorage for one item — your active tenant session ID — so you don't have to log in on every page. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.
7. Android accessibility permission (mobile app)
The RemoteViewer PRO Android app can use Android's Accessibility API (AccessibilityService) to provide remote control. When you start and approve a remote session, an authorised person can perform taps, swipes, scrolling, and text input on your device to assist you.
- The Accessibility service is active only during sessions you explicitly accept.
- It is used solely to deliver that person's remote input during those sessions.
- It does not read, collect, store, log, or share your personal or sensitive data. Screen content and input are relayed peer-to-peer, end-to-end encrypted, directly between the two devices — they never reach our servers.
- You can turn it off at any time in Settings → Accessibility, or by ending the session.
8. Children
The service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be announced via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date is acceptance of the new policy.
